The Hipster & The Geisha

Edthepoet

One Disco diva
Declared insane
Meets Techno geezer
Prepared for her shade
From the night sky
They cut matching shapes
Star dust does fall
As there fate is engraved

One hipster mister
Eats the latest phase
Meets retro geisha
Prepared for his tastes
On the horizon
They finger paint flames
The sun does fall
As there fates set ablaze

You never know
Where love hides its face
You can't control
When she'll call your name
It's no use to run
It's no use to hide
Try to deny
Your tongue will be tied

Yes this is love
Yours to make last
Try not to lose
Her from your heart
Try not to break
Her with your scars
Try not to scare
Her with your past

The feelings you've craved
Throughout the years
Are finally here
Don't look so scared
There's nothing to fear.
