A rich man plunders as his pockets clink,
While a poor man slaves as his options shrink,
The collectors hoard the knowledge of many for few,
While the delusion of many limits chance for the new,
The sly men scheme as the wise men flee,
Yet many the brave sit unaware as can be.
The men with the power live entitled and free,
Ignorant to the reality of the lands that they lead,
The knowledge possessed leads to riches and fame,
But if the whole world burns then all is in vain,
If the future of the planet is treachery and lies,
then "Valar Morghulis", as all men must die.

- Comment from author about the poem: I am not really sure what caused me to write this poem. In 21 years, I at no point recall ever writing anything without a purpose until today. I began writing with absolutely no idea what was going to appear on the page, with this being the outcome 15 minutes later. I would love to have some honest feedback as to the quality of this piece as I have absolutely no prior knowledge or experience with poetry.

❤❤❤
You, or your muse who has introduced itself to you this way, have tapped into the new awareness that is taking hold in more and more minds as our world approaches a tipping point in its evolution. Congratulations, and be pleased with this new level of your consciousness! Same thing happened with me in 2005. Keep yourself tuned into this precious contact, is my advice.
Welcome to MPS!
Thanks you everyone for your feedback ☺️ I may try writing something new
Your brain, TN, is a wondrous thing. Something can be brewing without consciousness being aware and then, suddenly, it appears. Looks like this happened to you. Or, maybe, you just watched too much Games of Thrones. 🙂
I like your writing, but remember, I am no expert, like your rhyming .
Hahaha, I wholeheartedly blame game do thrones, maybe the decision to write this came from having nothing to do since the seasons over!! I have to admit, writing does seem to be very enlightening to the consciousness, never really thought about it prior to finishing this poem.
