The Monster Deep Within

The Monster Deep Within

The wrath of the monster that lies deep within

Acts on anger and impulse with her mischievous grin.

Pushing people away instead of swallowing her pride

Every dear friend to go is a thousand tears she’s cried

She does not try to be mean, to upset and hurt others

But the things that she says causes people to suffer

But if only they knew who suffered the most

Behind those weary eyes she is lifeless like a ghost.

She has pushed so many dear ones out of her life

Because the thought of being vulnerable cuts like a knife.

And although she has maintained her tough ruthless front,

That is all she will have in the end.

Because the wrath of the monster that lies deep within

Acts on anger and impulse with her mischievous grin.
