Heart

The 2 A.M Writer

Sell you a heart

A heart you took but never bought

Steal you a heart

Love you robbed blind from the naive

Flourish the heart

Let it grow up to the sky

Peak the heart

Let God know I gave it to you

Praise the heart

Let it be a God

Lie to the heart

Sing me softly to sleep

Cheat the heart

Let God know you stole it from me

Cut the heart

It's juice has turned to mud

Topple the heart

Brown, dirty kingdom for me

Burn the heart

Passion and betrayal dancing in flames

Bury the heart

Give it a cursed headstone

Let love die
