Autumn Allure

Noveyre

Salutations to the summer sweet,

to August coming to its end,

what with autumn so love lorn,

leaves to fall like passion shorn.

Yet 'fore they drop that green gules

in the forest soon to gloom,

walk along the wayside brook

you'll see the colors all in decay.

Crimson canopy, sunset of summer,

what was green to scarlet mesh;

and although destined for death,

isn't its fall beauteous?
