NocturnalPenner

They make shapes with clouds, I make shapes with stars.

What does a cloud have on a star anyway?

They were just floating realms,

Liquid, waiting to solidify and drop,

Drown their tears onto the world,

As if they were a constant reminder of a sad, sad memory.

Take a star on the other hand;

An object to reach for, the twinkle in your eye,

An idol demanding to be seen,

Standing out amongst, the contrasting colourless sky.

Fighting its competitors, each try to shine brighter than the other,

Competing for your attention.

The idea of looking up at the night sky is like judging a talent contest;

Entering a crowd and deciding which face you find the most attractive;

Holding auditions for a movie casting;

It is the idea that you are looking at the sea of talent and stories.

One by one, they invite you to hear their tale.

Enjoy the view in the meantime.
