Just The Girl

BrokenTiger1923

She wishes her life were a dream but it's her sad reality
She's trying to be happy but acting becomes tiring
She wants to be alone and hide away in the dark
She cries in the night but you never hear her
Why
Because she's so used to protecting the hearts of others that she never taught herself to protect her own
She allowed her soul to be so brutally beaten that it wanted to leave her body and find one who would care for it
She's the girl holding the hand of a friend who's had their heart broken while her only thought is when she can make hers stop beating
She's the girl who smiles and says hello while all she wants is for someone to ask if she's ok and mean it
This girl wants to slit her wrist and bleed just to feel something
Even pain
This girl decides to fix her life and get her head together but the people around her say no
Be normal
Stick it out and it will all go away
This isn't the pain of studying all night or the pain of hating school
This is the pain that has accumulated over years
This is pain that she has held in for so long that the weight broke her heart
She gave up
Call her selfish or heartless or even a bitch
But the reality the girl Is broken beyond repair
Nobody can fix her
Nobody ever asked the girl what she wanted but in her heart she knew
It wasn't a doctor,or medication
She wanted somebody to listen
Somebody to have her back
Somebody to tell her it would be ok
Somebody to love her
but those people don't exists do they?
