In a vibrant world

Amongst many loud colors

She was tinted grey

  • Michael Edwards

Probably my favourite form and a great example - so well written

    • Santita

It's probably my favorite form too, thank you Michael :).

Very nice! I like this one a lot!

      • Santita

        Thank you, dear!

      • orchidee

A fine write S. Yep, all syllables present and correct!

        • Santita

          Hehe thanks, O!

Loud colours dazzle. The pearl is translucent, the greying brings out the beauty, subtle beauty. Quite lovely. Goes into my favourites.

          • Santita

Thank you for your kind words - and saving it :)

            Super sanryu Santita.

            • Santita

Thanks, Goldie. I see it now that I read it again - awesome :)

You say so much with so few words. Love this one.

              • Santita

Thank you, M! I appreciate your kind words.

Thanks SANTITA ~ Great SENRYU ~ So descriptive of many sad Ladies I know. However sometimes ~ if you manage to lift the enveloping grey shroud ~ you are more than rewarded visually ~ and with all the other senses. Greyness is sometimes a cloak to hide inner beauty that might be exploited by the uncaring and unscrupulous. In a College I worked in all the VIRGINS (there were still some among older teens !) all dressed as NUN's to deter the Men especially CATHOLICS. However I find MUSLIM LADIES (with just their eyes visible) very very alluring ! Besos y Abrazos ~ BRIAN ~ Eminence Gris !

Thanks, B! I appreciate your thoughtful comments, always! unscrupulous is a great word choice lol! *big hugs to the King of Hearts*

Beautiful three lines Santita. Short and efficient. Got me thinking.

                    • Santita

Thank you, lovely lady. Didn't see you around very much yesterday, I missed you

Yes, I'm sooo busy and then I'm having insomnia. There are some things bothering me that I need to go through and solve. But don't worry, I will be fine.

While grey usually fades into the background, against many loud colors it could stick out! Love this poem, Santita!

What happened to her? So grey?
                            This one got me.

                            • Santita

I do not want to be grey, but that is what I am into now.

I like this one a lot. It is an outstanding Senryu that went straight to my heart (Thank you BRIANSODES for letting me learn the correct poetic category) that truly reminds me that even simple colors like grey have beautiful voices. *Favorite*
