The Woman

whoweare

What is it? That great mistress,

pursued by Descartes, Kant, Plato

that we bring to the precipice

of intelligence, never to swallow,

Always to lure and ever trying!

She hides everywhere, yet we choke!

So close, so tantalizing.

It is the greatest that are enveloped

most by her guiles

Lesser ones chasing money, or clothes

and after fading wiles.

But the few, the choice few

that feast of the ichor

that succulent honeydew

The spoiles go to that victor

Clarity anew

Clarity the paramour

Clarity true

Clarity of fabled lore.
