Don't Reach For Me

seeker123

He pulls me from my sleeping state

And wraps me in his warm embrace

But all I see is fading shadows

No light to keep them from the hallows

I turn my face away, from his glowing aura I can't escape

I uncurl his fingers entangled in my knotted hair

And push away his longing stare

I slip back into guarded dreams

Where light never dawns where the sun can't reach.
