The World Burns As We Speak (and one more)

Soon it’ll be too late

Will you still wait?

Leave it up to fate?

While the world burns as we speak

Time is running out

If you don’t know what I’m talking about

Then all my doubts

Have been confirmed

Heat drastically rises

For them a game, for us no prizes

Fools treated as the wisest

As lives still fall apart

There’s no other way

What do you say?

Can’t wait another day!

While the world burns as we speak

New Poem: Never To Be Angels

Defined by what makes us weak

Silence or the ability to speak

Ashes or a pile of dying embers

Forgotten or an oath to be remembered

No, we were never to be angels

Instead, given something greater

Colors to paint, wipe away grey and dull

Blessed with joy, misery, and anger

Rivers holding more inside than on the surface

Either climbers or gravediggers to our own abyss

Secrets of passion igniting hidden flames

Our differences bring beauty, for none are the same

Using the things that set us apart

All to unite our ever-lonesome hearts

Like different notes to play a song

Playing with the truth, never right or wrong

A symphony of lies will never last long

From division we must unite

For each other ready to fight

Though never to be angels, this I’ll say

We paint our tomorrows, night or day

        Beautiful write. Speaks the truth.

Two pieces of contrast here. The first quite quite apposite for the world today and its posturing. The second like reverie of a decaying heartfelt romance being sadly accepted. Outstanding writing. Please comment on my stuff.

Your passion never falls short on wanting to heal this world. A great beacon of light you are my friend with words to break these invisible chains around us!

Thank you very much, I only wish I'm able to live up to those words!

Keep wishing and writing my friend, we all become what say in the end of the day.
