We use to agree
On just about anything
Apart from sugar in tea
And female wrestling
We use to concur
On all maters perverse
Apart from who said it first
Bill Hicks or Bill Burr
But yesterday morning we awoke
And went straight on our phones
Not even a morning breath kiss
To paper over the woes
Then this afternoon you chose
To dye your pretty blues green
for the millionth time
And explode into a rainbow of jealousy over
how the girl next door
Looked at me and said hello
As we come home from shopping
Where we spent an eternity
Walking aimlessly
Aisle to aisle
Arguing over Lampshades And bathroom tiles
I did an impression of Dr Evil
In a spinny chair
Not even a smile
in a million years
We couldn't agree
Water forms tears
Or blue is the sea
What am I getting at?
I'm not I'm getting off..
Stop this bus!
Maybe this was love
Maybe this is not.

A great write
Yes, do the new things threaten the love or do they become a part of it. The way you deal with these things affects your partner. They can only respond if you create a drama. Insecurity probably wrecks more relationships than anything else.. Once again your writing is so fresh and you pick out those illustrative details perfectly. goes into my favourites
Thank you guys. Love is indeed messier than eating yogurt on a trampoline in a lift.
