FALLING BACK

LM1005

My sadness brings me back time after time
A murderer returning to the scene of the crime
I ask myself what gives with me, why do I always go back in?
But I guess it’s just my nature, my emotions are no friend
Living lies are luxuries, not afforded much to me
Yes, I know the truth, but engage yet anyway
Maybe I’m a fool or maybe just insane
But the way I see it I'm one in the same

Total breakdown will occur, back with you no lesson learned
Taunted by this haunted ground, and all the voices that resound
They're all contained within my skull,
as sure as daybreak I will fall

I'll fall back on what I know, and it’s nothing good

Looking back into the void of what you call your eyes
Dismal, darkness masked in blue, starry, yet compromised
Whatever tragedy befell you left you high and dry
A desert mesa all alone, your evil limits are the sky
Your love pays out in guilt and shame, you pay in full, the check's in my name.
