I read that when a door closes you should knock and if it remains shut then you go.
And sometimes puzzles build houses too.
You're my puzzle and you've built a home with reinforced walls.
I planed on hopping the fense and I wanted to kick the door down, but you made me fall long before I reached your sidewalk.
But you also caught me before I hit the ground and you dragged me inside the yard.
But you left me there.
Stuck in a loop of running towards you and falling, like I was taking my first steps to Daddy.
Somehow you handed me the key and ran in for me to chase.
Playing tag with a puzzle is like trying to run from the horse on a carousel.
But I loved it.
And once we stayed in the house it was perfect,
until I got scared and threw my key away.
But trust me when I say I miss the house with you in the door way.
The door is shut now and I wanna knock,
but I'm more scared than a stray cat begging for food...
So I collapse next to it while he comforts me, wishing I didn't give up so soon.
Waiting for the door to open, and for you to push him away and take me in again.
Because that's my dream house, and I've grown to have a thing for puzzles that sing.

- Comment from author about the poem: Kind of about a lost "love" but besides that I think everything is pretty straight forward. So please let me know what you think, hope you like it
