Mother.

Noah

Hold me please.
Tell me why you lie.
What is it that you despise?
Who am I, to ruin your life?
Tell me the truth.
Hold me tight.

Push me away.
You want what you cannot have.
Speak in tongues to me.
Roll over on your back.
Help me to see.
Everything we could be.

Love another.
I don't get why your so giving?
Yet you lie to me.
Aren't I forgiving?
Poison my river.
Let me down.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about growing up in a lie. It's rather personal to me. My mother left me at a delicate age. Delicate enough to boggle a part of my mind for years to come. This write represents the trouble that comes along with that abandonment.

There is imperfection in us all. Your words are a stark reminder of consequences of our imperfection. The effect we have on the entire life of another's journey through this life. I wish you strength and positivity were i able to grant them. Sincerely good writing and very powerful.
