Night Shift.

Wallace

Muggers in the night exchanging glances.

Waiting for the right time to take their chances.

Some innocent unexpecting soul.

Will fall into the muggers hole.

Muggers in the night high on drugs.

Their stoned eyes bulging like nocturnal frogs.

They don't feel no empathy.

But when they're caught they want sympathy.

Muggers in the night.

Do look a scary sight.

Money is their aim.

They are wild, they are not tame.

Muggers in the night, please do take care.

You they will hurt and leave you financially bare.

I find it interesting you chose muggars as your subject for this poem. It was a good read! Were they meant to be literal? Or are they a representation of something?

A writing about reality in life. Things like the above writing do happen in life, fortunately I have been free from this sort of despicable crime.
But I would say a lot of unfortunates have not.
      Thanks for reading and comment.

Yeah I've witnessed a mugging but never had it happen to me. Thanks for the detail. It is always a pleasure to read a good poem!
