Jungle Cat

w c

Jungle Cat

It was a day we won’t forget

When he ran and jumped and leapt

And we were there to witness it

He streaked along that sunny day

With no thought that he should stay

We bid him well as he strayed

A zoo would probably take him in

The way he made us gasp and spin

The big cat area could feature him

He was a predator tried and true

With a taste for birdies blue

It was his weakness we both knew

He sank his teeth deep within

A little toy we had given him

There was no denying our jungle friend

He ran from us lightning fast

And flicked his tail as he passed

He was the tiger we never had
