My roots

Poetic Dan

  •

Writing my frustration with these words
To stop my actions going forwards

To knock on your door, for you to fear
The verbal beating I'll give your ear

To make you justify the actions you take
Drunken abuse, you hand out on a plate

I'll push that mind where it refuses to go
To that dark pit, one on one with souls

I've let go of the drama you caused in my life
Something you still have yet to learn in yours

Such suffering must be your breakfast and bed
That you wish to do nothing more than make ours the same

I'm writing all this to let the universe know
There is a man in pain that will not let go

You're dragging us all down on your drunk sinking ship
A man of your age should know far better than this

Whether we like it or not a stepfather you've been since I was four
Now that part of you that is in me, has to stop myself from acting like you

In the words of someone I admire
    An eye for an eye
    A tooth for a tooth
    A life for life
    I'll give mine to you

Giving you the strength to face what you can not.

Hoping these words of compassion from the little boy you once knew
Find a way to do away with the old you

Hoping these words of wisdom from the man I've become
Find a way for you to be more than you are

The last hope I have if you find this all to much
Leave my Family so you can only affect yourself

I have no pitty or sympathy to help you
But if you let go of the ego I could help guide you.

As much as I could still learn a thing or two from you
There is a massive amount for you
From this boy you once knew.

Thank you my friend, I started in my head very angry yesterday. Once I started to write the emotions chilled out, bit like swimming with the Dolphins 😉

I feel you. I feel you. Hope you feel better now.

We are humans, we all have our weakness, we all have our low point, for some, they were trapped there and lost themselves. It is sad but it happened all the time.

Some boundaries should never be crossed no matter how low we go but I do agree my friend. Thanks for taking the time to read
