Open Doors
Open doors are for stepping through
A chance to change your place
An opportunity to see something new
And let the past grow dark and gray
Open doors are guarantees
That things will surely change
If only one will only take the steps
To see life rearranged
Open doors are for the confident
Those with spirits high
That each door frame they step through
Will keep them more alive
Open doors are for victories
With winners entering in
A chance to show competitors
That the stepper always wins
Open doors are for exits
To leave the crowds behind
And a chance to retreat to one’s home
Safe from the world outside
Open doors are for returning
When the old again becomes new
A chance to return to a place
Worth the returning to
