Never Mind

b-LAH-que

Teach me something

or I reach for nothing
Preach while I seek what's above me
Maybe I'm a crazy person
I'm certain that I've closed the curtain
on certain dreams that just weren't working
or just not worth all the burden
from sacrifice of things in life
that ask me to thrive without vice
They say that I just can't think twice
All my second thoughts entice
Am I lost when I can't find
a peace to which I am not blind?
I see it right in front of me, but what's to be
just doesn't seem to thrill my mind
And so I find when in a bind
And consequences intertwine

with current times and I am tried

I've looked inside

 and told serenity

never mind

  • Comment from author about the poem: I managed to come up with this while listening to a lovely instrumental beat called One Day by RJD2 a couple times through. A little polishing up afterward, and I deemed it share-worthy. Gotta love the creative inspiration music provides.
