Changes

Axel Keating

The Field

Bloomed with life

Locked me out for good

I remember when I could run there

Throw a ball or catch a pass

Laugh and lay in the grass

It was simpler then

Now I see many like me

My laugh, my wonder

I can't stand the sight any longer

Lost what I loved

Gained what i never wanted

These days feel so weighted

Wishes are empty

Dreams crushed by reality

That's how it's meant to be

Some day they'll see it, too

They'll feel it, too
