Those eyes

Angee Thomas

I look into your eyes, I see the truth of your soul
It's captivating, even when your pupils are dilating
You look at me with gentle eyes
Please don't cry, the universe is forgiving
But that's only when you have given, a life that is worth living
I look into your eyes, I'm mesmerized, the non verbal communication,
I can hear you speak to me, now look into my eyes and tell me what you see?
When your eyes smile from your cheeks, even when your beginning to speak
Your eyes still says a thousand words
Don't look at me that way, because when you do I can’t turn away
Even when they say, the eyes are the portal to the soul
Do you see me? Can you look at me and not pass judgement?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder or the deceiver
But the truth is that beauty lies only to the receiver, but I will never look at you that way
Those eyes, oh those eyes, just look at how they stare
Without a glitch or a glare, I do not dare to gaze into another
I see your happiness, I see your pain, I see the time that has not been claimed
When you look up or when you look down, you'll see, I'll always be around, because my heart in your eyes I found
Those eyes, oh those eyes!
