Eyeless Sun

The 2 A.M Writer

Swimming like an eyeless fish

Should be drowning but somehow breathing

Never thought I'd make it this deep into the sea

Each day I guess I'm closer to soaring

...

Did my eyes really melt away so long ago?

Or did I never really open them in the first place?

I can taste your sunset, and it tastes amazing

Give me more so I don't become a waste

...

Love my girl, but I'll never love myself

Maybe I'm still just stuck on a hook

She'll kiss my cheek and I'll melt

For a second there, I thought I could look
