Relgion- False Evidence Appearing Real

Angee Thomas

Don't be afraid of the truth even if it don't set you free

The lies that were buried were told to you and me

See if you seek then you shall find, and if you find then you shall keep

But if you look away and choose to ignore the issues at hand

Then the sin you shall reap

Why don't you question your beliefs?

Why must you accept the ways of the past?

Why are you so afraid to die, if you know that life doesn't last?

This is a secret society,  yes this secret is just between us

But I will tell the lies of my existence to those I do not trust

Please don't lose faith in me now, there is so much that I have to prove

Please don't fear me now, because there is too much that I could lose

So bow your head and worship Me and just know that I am alive

So bow your head and pray to me, and the truth will be revealed with time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This could be a controversial piece but I'm on a spiritual journey in my life. This poem is not you offend anyone beliefs, it's just some questions and concerns I have while doing my research. I believe that some time in our life we Have to question our own belief system and ask ourselves why do I believe in this? Majority of the time it's because we were raised as children to do so. With rust being said, please question everything and I would love to hear your thoughts.
