Sea Therapy

G84

I ponder on a beach of yonder,
Amongst the crashing waves.

Reflecting on the moments fonder,
A life I deeply crave.

An audience of waves, my council,
The sand provides a pew.

No response, they hear me out still,
Problems dissolve in blue.

The tide retreats, a sea of tears.
My worries are washed away.

My council heard my cries and fears,
I'll return with more someday.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Years ago when things got rough I'd cut communication for a while and sit by the sea, and just go over my troubles in my head. By the time I got up to leave I'd feel calmed and refreshed. I wrote this one a while ago, the beach is my thinking space. Where's yours?

The wave will wash your trouble away, the wind will peace your mind. A good therapy indeed.
    Wonderful piece.
