Tears

Tiffany_Arnold

They were under the mask,
Under the zipper,
Under the glasses that l wore.
My chest felt full,
Felt numb,
Until the pain came aboard.
Now I feel a flow deep within,
Tears that are healing my soul,
That was once made of coal.

Opening up my chest,
From my head, to my back, then down to my toes.
I start to feel free,
Something has opened up inside of me.
The tears don't stop,
Like how water hits the dock,
BANG, BANG, BANG!
Then all of sudden silence.

The mask is gone
It has Floated away,
My zipper slowly unzipped.
I'm watching the water rush through,
As my glasses follow through
And my life start a new.
I can finally see clear,
There is no more fear.

There are no more tears
that drip from my face.
They are healing the women I am becoming.
I'm finally letting go,
The clutches of hell,
The demon is finally being set free.
