You May Say I'm A Dreamer

Edthepoet

If all money suddenly
Dissappeared over night
Would you still be living
Come the morning I
Guarantee the sun above
Will still provide us light
Can you see.

Everyone here you love
Will call to see you're alright
The earth will spin
At the same frequency
As it did the day before
The wind will blow
The trees will grow
Without a second thought, I guarantee

No other animal
On earth
Would show concern
Mother nature will duly
smile with heavy head unturned
Thinking finally we can begin
To achieve our real purpose here
Now you've quite finished squabbling over who should be revered
Can you hear

You can call me crazy
Or paint me a fantasist
Is it really insane to think
Without money
This wouldn't exist, it's built on fear

Every so called sane mind
Will argue we need
To be kept in line
That basic human nature
Will seek and destroy
Basic human emotion
Will lead to rise in crime
Maybe it's time
To stop being basic humans
And evolve the human mind

To think of a bigger picture & a bigger reason than "I"
Our environment isn't just the earth
We could make the sky
More than just a romantic
Picture painted black by the night
We could call it home from home
An ultimate journey into the unknown
#SpeciesGoals

To all the naysayers
And downtrodden
Who believe Destiny's
Just a computer game
And world peace
Is nothing if not another
beauty pageant cliché
And the world will burn
In chaos
As soon as we decide
No longer to be controlled
By the lies of 1%
We know this way of living
Only favours those at the summit
It's time for the bottom to rise up and meet the top
This greed we have agreed to turn a blind eye to
Has to immediately stop.

You may say I'm a dreamer...
But you know that I am not........

Great write. We'd definitely be "equals", now wouldn't we?

< the crowd raised Ed onto their shoulders amidst rapturous applause and much cheering, carried him three times around the tavern and out into the street ensuring along the way his jar was never empty of his favourite tipple'
Hoorah Hoorah for the outspoken one who has shown us the way to live life as we should on our wonderful planet in harmony with all creatures great and small.
    Excellent piece or writing.
