City Park

City Park

I visited a city park

And saw many birds while there

I entered a bird ID contest

And ventured everywhere

I had a checklist of the birds

And made many great IDs

I was in a wood undisturbed

And the birdies loved the trees

Suddely, a tree fell next to me

And I barely escaped the danger

I said a prayer to God above

Hoping He I had not angered

I knew He made the animals

And I’d heard of Noah’s ark

But I did not know that God would be

Felling trees in a city park
