Not a Disorder

NaomiRayne

The bruises on my knees are not from a fall

The weakness in my arms are not from when they broke

The dent in my nails are not from a file

My lack of armor is not an accident

What goes in and out of my body should not be my choice

you're writing with a lot of emotions but I don't understand the choice line , shouldn't it be your choice and if not why ?

Thank you, I posted my explanation in the comments. Hope it helps 🙂

Me saying that it shouldn't be my choice was showing how much control I lost in making decisions when it comes to my health. Also showing the little piece of me that can't handle the responsibility of taking care of myself in this way. I say 'should' because I'm not dismissing that fact that it is my choice...it's just a way of highlighting that this is my weakness without asking for pity.
