Stars

skyebellasario

Last night, I was staring at the stars.

Wondering,

Who we could have been.

The memories we could have had.

Isn't it funny,

Stars can burn bright

For millions of years.

Yet we burnt out in seconds.

I lost you,

Before I had you.

With a single look,

You made me feel like I could fly.

So I’m sorry for wanting more,

For wanting to soar.

Beautiful poem. I myself find myself lost in the stars each night, through its harder now that i live in a town with a streetlight shining through my window.

Thank you! Don't we all, they are too mesmerising, I could stare at the stars for hours.
