Left For Dead.

Wallace

She left me for a man of wealth.

She left me in a sick state of lovelorn health.

Her wedding vows she did not obey.

With another man she does now lay.

My days long and my nights longer.

Into darkness my mind does wander.

Depression does engulf my soul.

My manly ego no longer whole.

Bright stars shine in the heavenly sky.

To them my soul does want to fly.

No more in life I want to pretend.

This is it, this is the end.

Oh such a sad piece though appealingly written. I admire the rhyming in this anguished lament.

A well written but sad poem. Hopefully better days are ahead. Great composure and rhyme scheme in such hard times.
