The last Day

deano

The last Day

You've become so frail but your mind is still strong
And in that mind you still feel young but your bodies almost gone
Your independence slowly withered away
Just watching the pendulum slowly sway
Knowing the words are almost over in the song you've sung
And the time to pass has almost come
But your memories of loved ones will see you through
To the other side, unknown but new
And having those loved ones by your side
Puts you at peace as you slowly slide
And when your clocks had its final tick
It will continue to chime in the minds that still  live
