I Wish

skyebellasario

When I hear your smooth talking

Voice,

A smile can't help

But grow.

When I see you

walking along,

My heart can't help

But flutter.

I wish you were mine

Like I am yours.

I wish our subtle smiles,

And our passing conversations

Whizzed around your brain

For hours afterwards.

Like they do mine.

7 billion people,

Occupy this planet.

Yet only you,

Occupy my thoughts.

Very good write! I think we all feel that way when we fall in love, about the 7 billion people, and you only want "the one". Great job!

Thank you Christina! I have never actually been in love, I am just trying to capture the feeling of it in my poems!
