You left me alone when I was young.
I wonder if it was hard to leave my mum, my older brother and sister too, I wonder what it was you went through.

Now my life has taken the same path, I no longer wonder, I know it feels sad.

But I'm still glad that you were my dad, to Iive my life and experience what I have

This world can be harsh, it can bring you down, when loneliness hits and there's no one around, you can hit the ground but don't stay down.

I won't give up on this path of mine, I give one hundred percent till the end of time.

Found my voice through all these tears, can feel the love when I sing like this.

 I'm on a roll, I can't stop now
 I wouldn't even if I knew how

An understanding of other wraps itself round every line and a Dad must have been proud to read your warm response of what life was about for him too. A moving read Dan
He probably never will read this but it changed me inside. The last few years after thinking, writing, playing and singing this, I now see how much.
PD, this is not only a very strong, written from the heart, poem, it is also a tale of understanding and forgiveness, full of love and hope for a better future.
Great writing!
Thank you my friend, it was a reminder to myself of what I felt as the start of this journey. That forgiveness is hard thing to hold on too, guess it's like riding a bike or play( slack key) on a guitar
