Nothing about you

Bryen Kurdst

So don't interject your impeccable story
as the temple we've built descends from it's glory.
All the solitude you feel
and the joy you will steal
says nothing about you.

Notions of acceptance make you squirm, so frightened.
Equidistant facets form a perfect diamond.
What we share is organic,
so unique and profound.
I know you'd say the same.

Pry a fist from your face, take a seat on the steps.
Study every angle, though it's not complex.
But we do this again.
And again and again.
I shall never relent.

You're conditioned to see what you choose to believe.
If I were to be honest, you're kind of naive.
I know we understand,
now all that I demand
is you see it our way.

Just like everyone else, your presence is vital.
This in-bound disaster needs a running title.
It is not your concern,
forever taciturn.
There's nothing you can say.

I know that you're sure that my place is essential,
but in this circumstance, I'm inconsequential.
If we share the burden
I must be conferred in
the means that bring the end.

So don't interject your impeccable story
as the temple we've built descends from it's glory.
All the solitude you feel
and the joy you will steal
says nothing about you.

I sense disillusionment in your poetry...It's quite transfixing.

Yet I prefer naive illusions where I can slip away and quite forget... I always imagined that it said something about me.
