Anthem

b-LAH-que

A song starts to play and we're on with our praise

Along with the strong who dishonor the brave

A longing for days where a debt is repaid

Is etched in their expectations of late

A stretch is to say that we're blessed in our ways

Confessing that they should soon rest in their graves

Complexing the nature of stress in their name

Less is the grandeur, met with it is rage

Addressing a truth that deludes what we say

Abuses the looseness of of less in the way

Of expression without limits, without delay

If we'd let ourselves rest, we'd be on with our day
