Heaven In a Jar

INPUT_OUTPUT

Her parents fight on this warm summer night?

Her friends unsettled as they leave.

The sounds of screaming elevate like a kite

She wipes her tears with her sleeve.

She thought their constant disagreements would subside.

Their love comes and goes like a tide.

Broken furniture , dented walls , fractured dreams.

Banging and scratching as she sleeps.

The danger of abuse contrasts the safety of buzzing.

These friends from the fields give hope.

Their light takes her away from the fussing.

They wrap around her like an envelope.

Almost like they sense pain where they are.

Capture a few, and put them in a jar.

So you can always smile at their heavenly light.
