Dog chases Fly

Davidivad98

Content in frustration,

lost in play;

the art of taking life.

Naivety dreams of catching the fly

in its desperate, mindless flight.

Thus life is lost, and the fly goes on,

the dog resigns to discontent;

of all the flies and frantic flight

that the foolish dog has dreamt.

    Nice work David. The souls of both the dog and the fly are equally immortal; life indeed is lost at the moment of physical death in either species. Keep pushing this boundary...

      Thankyou:)) I like the idea that in chasing the fly, the only life that the dog has the potential of wasting is its own.
