POISON

undecidedpoet

You made me feel different;

I liked myself when you came around

You gave me the confidence I needed

I felt so alive when I had you

I became dependent on your presence;

When I was sad or insecure

You always lifted my spirits

Being with you made me less afraid

Peoplr started noticing a change

I wasn't myself anymore;

Consumed with anger and sorrow

I couldn't survive a day without you

You were poison to me;

Life felt too raw when you left

Addicted and alone; I needed you

You were, after all

My drink of choice
