Past, Present and Future

Accidental Poet

 

My three closest friends

Forever connected to me

Past, present and future

My timeline of life certainly

 

Where I’ve been

And where I’m now at

Where I’m going to

I don’t yet know that

 

But presently I do know

My future can bump into my past

I’ll have to pay for my mistakes

More than likely a costly task

 

Each second becomes the next

Then to the past it goes

Leaving me here

Taught the lesson it shows

 

Waste not what time I have

For there’s more to learn tomorrow

Respecting past, present and future

Will minimize my sorrow

            Your three friends are cheating on you, they are my friends too. Your past is your teacher, where your mistakes are your lessons, your present is where you implement what you learned and your future is when you try the changes you learned from the other two.
