Lost

Bay

Hey body is cold

Her death was bold

she didn't want to live

So she gave in

At night she would cry

No matter how hard she tried

The less she would eat

Just to fit in her jeans

Whenever she eats

The purging repeats

She takes out the razor

This time she couldn't be braver

As she pulls it across her skin

The wounds don't seem to mend

She's lost in a dark place

Time won't erase

This time she cuts a little too deep

A secret she must keep

Her heart will stop beating

She will stop breathing

Are you ready to say goodbye?

The burden of a secret such as so, I know that pain. A tough write. I love it.

We must learn to love ourselves as God loves us: unconditionally. Otherwise, indeed we are simply lost. For those friends whom are not quite there yet there’s NAMI.
