Black Stallion

David Grubb

Black Stallion of the night

Stands framed in silvery light

Eyes of blazing fire

Pounding hoofs future peace dire

The white mare of passion and love

Mane soft as a velvet glove

Gentle beating of the heart

Quickens with a gentle beat

Through life passion and power walk

Side by side not always together

Held together by mutual respect

Both held by mutual need

At the end power fades

Passion never in the shade

Passion supports to the end

Power and strength held in the meek

Power, solace and love must seek

An animated write, and giving balance through power, beauty, strength.
