Awakening
Rosebud of desire
blooming
hotly centered
in spirited passion
awaking from her dream
still looming
languidly
stretching dainty limbs
silky laughter
on soft full lips
the warmth of her voice
fills him
with all the vibrations
echoing of
strains of silken laughter

Cat, this beautiful poem brought to mind the picture of an innocent girl growing into a beautiful, yet still innocent woman. The 'rosebud of desire' growing into a beautiful full fledged rose.
Beautiful writing, perfect choice of words!
thank you Fred,
you always are so nice to me and say the sweetest things...I appreciate you so much!

Cat, thanks for the appreciation. But know that I am not being 'nice', I am being truthful. You are an incredible writer and many of your poems (not all, but hey, we cannot be perfect all the time) do touch me deeply. This one for example just had that air of innocence. I read it a few times and each time it seemed to grow on me. While I am not the greatest writer, I can recognize and appreciate good writing!!! 🙂
