Petty Theives

Clark

I keep falling into everyone's traps

Believing and trusting in people

That always end up hurting me

In the end

All I ever wanted

Was someone to be there

Someone to pick me up when I fell

Instead of pushing me

In my grave

Someone that understood

How I felt

Without ever

Having to say a word

But instead they all just laughed

With their backs turned away

Knowing they were the

Petty thieves of my heart

Picking away at me

Like leftovers

Throwing me out and

Feeding me to the animals

All I ever wanted

Was one person

Just one

To truly get me

And maybe

I could feel ok then
