Life as I know it

Adrianna Kjeld

When I was 8 years old
I thought by the time I was 20
I'd have my own  household
a husband and a child
of my own.

But I just turned 19 and I'm still not full grown.

I haven't finished my education
but my high school diploma is a destination.

Nothing beats brother's home cooked meals,
and icies from Taco Bell, and looking at unaffordable automobiles.

I love watching live stream on youtube
and looking at babies, like "goo goo"
and raising my voice at Stinky
wondering why she won't go poo, poo!

This is life and it sure as shit ain't fabulous
but it's worth living every minute of it.

Adrianna, your great little poem just proved that we don't have to be rich and famous to be happy!
Great writing, I do like it.
