The Sun and The Serpent

skyebellasario

I am the sun.

Loyal.

Honest.

Kind.

I am the serpent.

Cunning.

Charming.

Conniving.

There are two sides of me.

They wrestle

To take control.

I hide behind this mask,

Of sunshine and happiness.

Perhaps if you creep

A little closer, you will

See past the shining lights,

Into the perpetual darkness.

It is like a switch.

I flip between

Only caring about my endeavours

To simply

Wanting a smile to beam

Across a friend's face.
