Morning's Melody

b-LAH-que

Through a glowing curtain, darkness flees my face
The morning sings it's melody through strings that softly wave
To the approaching sign that day's arrived and gave to life a grace
I beckon it with music for the gifts from it I take

Upon the wheel of hours steps the stride of life's relay
I stay in beat with it until the light til which the others lay
Leave a tint of yellow-gold on all that has been gray
And shine upon the dreams that bless my rest throughout the day
