Intelligence in Earth bound creatures
Emotions of love, friendship, and compassion
Understanding between the species
Respect of life mutually rationed
Dolphins, whales, apes, and humans
Communication among thinking brains
Maybe, just maybe someday
We’ll know each other by names
From Father Heaven
And Mother Earth
We’re all born of love
Custodians of heavenly work
A universal language
Written in the pages of love
They say, “What goes around, comes around”
Remember watchful stars above
We belong to the Earth
Not it to us
Life here is a gift
Must we argue and fuss?
There’s a life-force in everything
The steady tick of the clock
Like the heartbeat of time
Even between a tree and rock
Compassion for all things
Love grows from many pieces
A glorious day it’ll be
Empathy among the species

Very well written, AP! And what a glorious day it would be! But I don't think it will happen in our lifetime.
One never knows. Thanks for the read Fred. ; )
I agree wholly with this inspiring write -- empathy among species is what I believe was originally meant. Thank you for posting this needed reminder.
Thanks Fay, it was just something that popped into my head one day and I knew I had to build off of it. The idea that the intelligent beings on our planet need to be more in touch with each other. And I honestly think the other species would be complaining of how we humans are disturbing the natural workings of the planet and it's affecting how the other species live. We humans really need to get our act together or the sake of all life on the planet. Thanks for reading and your compliment Fay. ; )
Beautiful AP
Thanks WL, ; )
A fine write AP. Erm, since when was ........ intelligent? (fill in own answer!) lol.
Is it 'a baked bean' Orchi ?
Oh lol M. My own answer is \'anyone in Eastenders\'! Or if in USA - the most ghastliest TV soap you can imagine! Oh I hate that Mr Potato-Head that's in it (Phil Mitchell. heehee).
I thought Mr potato-Head was a footballer.
Since when was MAN intelligent? I think we've reversed the process of man's learning. As we obviously are not learning from our mistakes. : /
as they would say in the UK Parliament: 'My honourable friend makes a good point'. Fine write AP
Thanks Michael. I do appreciate your reading and compliment. ; )
Your poem, to me, describes the Fifth Dimension, toward which we are rapidly moving as a fellow sentient species. Well expressed, AP!
Thank you Louis. ; )
Very good write AP and so true. It may happen one day when all agree that the world needs nurturing and we all love each other but it is a long way off at the moment, I don't think I will see it in this life though.
Unfortunately, neither do I. Thanks for stopping in to read and compliment Goldie. ; ) ,
