But Take Me Underneath It.

kevin browne

I hide it well I sit to breath
My ignorance believes so
Take me to the place I love
Then I'm sure to know
But take me underneath it.

Darling dear, come over here
My self-doubt believes so
Take me to where God belongs
Then I'm sure to go
But take me underneath it.

I wrote it well, I penned a hell
My ink believes so
Take me to the place I lost
Then I'm sure I'll never know
But take me underneath it.

I coloured in, I did begin
My poem believes so
Take me to the place I write
Then I'm sure to hold
But take me underneath it.

I took a bow, I did it now
My dickie bow believes so
Take me to the place I stood
Then I'm sure to flow
But take me underneath it.

I silenced hear, it was for fear
My anger believes so
Take me to the place I weep
Then I'm sure to throw
But take me underneath it.

I sang a song, I sang it wrong
My voice believes so
Take me to the place I sing
Then I'm sure tomorrow
But take me underneath it

I thank you all, against a wall,
My theatre believes so
Take me to the place I stage the floor
Then I'm sure to paint some Pablo
But take me underneath it.

I say goodbye, I don't know why
My question believes so
Take me to the place I ask
Then I'm sure to wonder
But take me underneath it.

Kevin, you are branching out into different but equally well written territory here! Love the flow and the repetitions. This is good, you don't have to 'hide' it, so 'take it above it'!

      worth a try isn't it?

Much more than just worth a try!
