Why did I have to change,
I feel like I'm at a strange,
I dislike the way I act,
Why can't my feelings come back,
My old feelings consisted of hate and uncare,
But someone came along and made me feel there,
Now all I feel is happiness and love,
I call her a gift from above

- Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this when I had found my first true love. This feeling also revealed something about my own self that I was too blind to see...that not only do I dislike change....but that I was also afraid of change as well. But later in life I came to realize that love can defy any law...even your own and alter anything that it comes across...for both the good and the bad....
